| How the Witch Stole Christmas |
[Dec. 15th, 2008|06:07 pm] |

So on the fan fiction forum where I've been posting Constants, there was a 'Tis the Season challenge. The rules:
1) The story must be completed in one posting (short stories only) 2) It must be set during the holiday season 3) It must mention an armadillo, and one of gold, frankincense, or myrrh 4) It must have Willow or Tara quote one holiday lyric as part of normal dialog 5) It must mention of any element of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
I took #5 and ran with it. This is my entry. ^_^
At the original forum. At my easier to read, but less feedback-friendly archive. |

One thing I've noticed about writing: it causes you to do some very strange Google searches. At this moment, I have the following windows visible in my task bar:
* "Tips On Caring For A Puppy" * "GED For Homeschoolers? A to Z Home's Cool Homeschooling" * "Seth Pollack Photography: Carribou on the runway, Deadhorse, Prudhoe Bay, AK" * "How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966) (TV)" |

p.s. I have no delusions that I'm a great author. Blunt, constructive critique is more than welcome. :) |

In honor of NaNoWriMo, I present to you a Buffy fan-fiction piece I've been writing called 'Constants,' which just this evening passed the 50,000 word requirement (roughly 100 pages) necessary to become a NaNoWriMo winner (although this work does not qualify, since a. I began it before November 1, and b. it has taken me more than a month to write, thus far).
The story is in a contemporary setting, and draws heavily on my own college memories (write what you know, right?), so no knowledge of the show is needed to enjoy the story.
Here's the story (there's 13 pages, so far, with more to come) http://jasmydae.com/wt/stories/Jasmydae/Constants/
Comments, suggestions, writing tips, and constructive criticism are all welcome. Best place for it is here ( http://thekittenboard.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=5407 ) since it bumps my story to the top, but I'll take feedback any way I can get it! ^_^
*peace*

<Batou> My Dad is massively religious.
